If you’re looking for a new job, Google is rolling out more tools to make your search easier. The search giant rolled out a new job search tool back in June and are now adding more features to it. The new features come as Google continues to listen to user’s suggestions on what can make the tool more effective.

With numbers like that, it’s important that seekers are able to drill down to find jobs in their field that pay what they need. Google says that 85% of job postings in the US today don’t provide salary information. Applying for a job that isn’t willing to pay what you want not only wastes the company’s time, but your time too. To that end, Google is now showing salary ranges from sources like Glassdoor, PayScale, LinkedIn, and more. For jobs that do have a salary listed, Google will show you a comparison to the estimated salary range for that job.

When searching for a job, location is important. Whether you’re trying to find a job that’s close to home or you’re planning a move, you need to find a job in your desired area. Google is now adding an easier way to locate jobs where you want to be. A new location filter option is now available that gives you the option to set a distance range or spread out to “anywhere”. Once you select your location, the job search tool will only show you listings within that area.
